The Britain’s House of Commons’ deputy speaker Nigel Evans denied the accusations of sexual assault and rape against him on Sunday. Nigel Evans was arrested in Pendleton, Northwestern England last Saturday. As said by the deputy speaker, the allegations have left him with a feeling of disbelief since he considered the two complainants as his friends.

Police said yesterday that the assault happened four years ago. Accusations involved two men in their 20’s. The authorities in Lancashire did not state the identity of 55-year-old man who was arrested and questioned by the police against the allegations but was later released after he paid the bail. Based on the reports, one man purported that he was rape and in another instance, another man stated that he was sexually assaulted. As stated by the police, the crime allegedly happened between July 2009 and March 2013 in Pendleton.

Authorities added that the man was obliged to appear at the police station on 19th day of June. Before Evans was chosen as the deputy speaker of the House of Commons in 2010, he had been a conventional member of the legislative body in 1992 and acted as vice chairman of Tory Party from 1999 to 2001. During a newspaper conversation in 2010, Evans appeared to be gay and has been an activist on protuberant rights of gays in England. He added that he respected the way the authorities handled the incident and thanked those who have supported him in the unproven and false allegations set up against him.

UK Government’s ex-national director for heart disease says he would not want his daughter treated at Leeds General Infirmary’s child cardiac unit. Operation for the heart has been suspended when the hospital had an incomplete data for the hospital having a mortality rate that is twice the national average.

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust has comparable rates to other centers and should have no further concerns. The heart surgery for children has been closed for 11 days after NHS England’s medical director, Sir Bruce Keogh, suspended procedures for what he called a “constellation” of reasons.

Sir Roger leaked the mortality rate – director of the National Institute of Clinical Outcomes Research, which focused the mortality figures across the NHS – the night before last month’s suspension. They were then dispatched by the response team to immediately assess the safety concerns of the suspension. NHS England said that they have received some assurances about the quality of surgery and staff that were involved in the operations. Consultant cardiologist at Leeds General Infirmary, Dr John Thomson, said Sir Roger’s assessment was not fair.

A ceremonial funeral service for Britain’s Iron Lady, Margaret Thatcher at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London. Thatcher was the Britain’s first female prime minister. 2,000 people attended the funeral including officials from different countries and Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip.
At the age of 87, Thatcher died of stroke last April 8. She was given full military honors like Princess Diana and Queen Mother. Her twin children Mark and Carol organized the funeral with the wishes of their late mother. Readings were given by the UK Prime Minister David Cameron and Thatcher’s granddaughter Amanda while London Bishop Rev. Richard Chartres gave the final address.

Chartres stated that she was amazed by how Thatcher reached out to the poor and young people and her kindness and courtesy to her staffs. More than 4,000 Metropolitan Police guarded around the funeral to avoid the risk of having protesters. Roads were closed and buses were rerouted early Wednesday.

A very well known political figure in the history of Britain, Lady Margaret Thatcher, has died at the age of 87. Lady Thatcher was described by many to be a very influential leader in the country and indeed in the world. – She was known to be a strong willed woman leader and she was the first woman Prime Minister in Britain. A member of the Conservative Party, she had served Britain for a period of 11 years in the position of Prime Minister.

Lady Thatcher had suffered from a stroke and died while sleeping. Reports say that it has already been a decade since she first became sick. She stayed inside a hotel in London after she was operated on. The current Prime Minister of Britain David Cameron was in Europe for a tour when he found out about Lady Thatcher’s death. After hearing the news, the Prime Minister hurriedly came back to Britain. Mr. Cameron has described the Iron Lady as a Patriot Prime Minister and was said to have praised her after her rendered service in the government. Lady Thatcher was the longest serving Prime Minister during the twentieth century.

A friend of the former lady prime minister also said that he was saddened when the son and daughter of the Iron Lady announced their mother’s death. It was recalled by the spokesman that both the children of Lady Thatcher announced that their mother died early in the morning after experiencing a stroke while in her bed.

A tough immigration plan for the British Prime Minister. Mr. David Cameron has a lot of plans to toughen Britain’s immigration policy. He has promised to ban EU Nationals from claiming their benefits if they can no longer provide evidence that they are working or in the quest of looking for work. In addition, Mr. Cameron had plans on restricting the migrants in the UK to have social housing if they weren’t able to stay in the UK for 5 years.

During the weekend the said plans were released. According to some critics the proposal would create problems between the UK Government and the European Union. The job seeker’s allowance coming from the government will only be utilized by the migrants who were seeking work. Mr. Cameron said immigration has already benefited Britain. The statement of the Prime Minister was published in the newspaper The Sun. It is well know that immigration in Britain wasn’t controlled well by the Labour government: figures show that there an estimated 2.2 Million people got in and (and some out) of the country while they were in power.

The Prime Minister wanted the migrants to come to Britain and work. He added that in the case of migrants nowadays in Britain, they come to the UK and work but only for a short time but they have full access of the benefits that the government gives out. When a migrant wants to work in Britain for a short period of time, he or she can only access the benefits after six months.

Spring has finally come after the bitterly cold winter we have all endured, though it still feels freezing and there are lots of colds and coughs abound. It is important however to realise the difference between an ordinary and what could be a chronic cough. A chronic cough can be something that develops slowly and that you gradually become accustomed to, to the point that you don’t even think about it anymore. Coughing becomes such a habit that you don’t consider it as being unusual. It might only be when someone else points it out to you that you might think to investigate the causes behind a persistent cough.

However, if you do have a cough that you have been simply living with or trying to ignore, it is a good idea to find out the possible cause. Not only may it lead to treatment of the cough so that you no longer have to put up with it, but chronic coughs can be merely a symptom of a more serious condition that requires medication.

A cough is considered to be persistent when it lasts for longer than eight weeks. Potential reasons behind the cough include:

COPD – Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease is an umbrella term for a range of lung conditions including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Generally it affects people older than 45 and who are smokers or ex-smokers. The airways are inflamed or swollen and, in compensation, the lungs produce an excess of mucus. This in turn causes the cough, as the body tries to expel the excess fluid from the lungs.

Asthma and allergies. Again the problem with suffering from asthma is that the airways become inflamed. Asthma sufferers have bouts of coughing where they feel unable to get their breath. The coughing bouts can be accompanied by wheezing and a tight feeling in the chest. Many asthma sufferers are diagnosed as children, but it can be diagnosed at any time in life. Asthma can be set off by the cold weather, exercise or a reaction to an allergen like pet hair or pollutant like cigarette smoke.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is caused by a weak oesophageal sphincter allowing stomach acid to re-enter the oesophagus. A chronic cough, heartburn, chest pain and wheezing are all symptoms of GERD.

If you have a persistent cough, it may be that you have one of the conditions mentioned above. You can get advice on persistent cough from mucusmanagement.org.uk, but if you wish to investigate fully the reasons behind your cough, make sure you seek medical advice.

A deal was agreed during a late night talk between the most prominent British political parties. The said deal is all about the press regulation. It is a new system that was established by a Royal Charter and it will still be sent to the Royal Palace for approval. It was reported that a system of statutory underpinning will already be a law on Monday as part of the enterprise and regulatory reform bill. The said bill was controversial because of the many newspapers that refused with the new regulation or its structure. It is still yet to be agreed by the House of Commons on how the damages will be addressed.

The said deal was a victory for the parties according to the Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg. In his statement he said that he was happy to see that there had been a cross-party agreement. The Labor Leader, Ed Miliband also agreed with the Deputy Prime Minister. The two politicians will publish the said Royal Charter on Friday. According to Miliband, the royal charter will serve as a regulator because in the future in can stop the ministers or the press to meddle with it. He also added that the free press should not worry about anything that has been recently agreed.

The said talks occurred at night and have reached 2:30 early dawn. The venue was at The Labor Leader, Ed Miliband’s office. During the agreement it was reported that the people involved includes Nick Clegg, Oliver Letwin and Harriet Harman. After the agreement both sides has claimed victory but the Prime Minister said that it was not a statutory underpinning.

A lot of cars were stranded for long hours on the M23 in Sussex. The said traffic disturbance was caused by a heavy snow on the road. Snow has filled the roads and a tailback occurred for more than eight hours. Motorists were stuck because of the bad weather condition. It was also reported that not only M23 was affected by the hazardous snow. Other roads such as the A29, A26, and A27 were among those affected too. An inspector from the Sussex police said that there were areas that experienced worst traffic and these areas were around Handcross Hill.

The drivers who were stuck in their cars were already rescued after long hours of being stranded. The police and the members of the Highway Agency were the ones who rescued the stranded motorists. The Red Cross was also present in the affected areas to check the conditions of the drivers. A driver who was heading home was stuck near the Handcross Hill and has described the scene on the road. From a report in BBC news, the driver said the road has already become a car park. Most of the cars were not moving and inside it were family who were already sleeping.

The driver who was interviewed by BBC also added that since there was nothing to do about the situation most of the car owners slept and waited until it would be resolved. He said that they have all accepted that they could probably be stranded for more hours. It was already midnight and people couldn’t do anything and just rest their case. He described the area to be a lot quiet during midnight when everyone started sleeping inside their cars.
